Our Life & Times

Today is Friday. It seems like it has been a long week, even though I took Wed. off because of the bad weather. I had a math test this morning, and I hope I did OK, although I missed the review they had on Wed.

Anyway, tomorrow night is Brian's company Christmas party. They usually have a nice dinner, and some nice door prizes, too. Konnor will be staying the night at my friend Michelle's house with her son, Wyatt. I don't expect it to be too late of a night, but you never know. It does bring me back to our squadron Christmas parties in the Air Force. We started a tradition every year, that the Saturday night of our Christmas party we would go home after the party and put up our Christmas tree. We would usually have a white elephant gift exchange, door prizes, dancing, and sometimes people would get up and do different skits. When I worked at the child development center in CA, we had secret Santas for a week, and at the end of the week we would have a potluck lunch and reveal who the secret Santas were. I really had fun with that! I kind of miss not being in the working world, because of the fun times like Christmas parties and potlucks. My time will come soon enough though...
