God Does Listen

I just want to say that it does "take a village to raise a child", and I feel so priviledged to live in a small enough town where I know Konnor's friends (and their families). Even at the age of 10 kids are faced with difficult choices everyday as far as who their friends are going to be and what they choose to do with those friends. I am not saying that Konnor doesn't make bad choices from time to time, but recently when I had to ask him not to hang out with a boy I don't approve of, Konnor thanked me. I was a little shocked that he thanked me, but then it finally dawned on me that all those prayers I say to God to protect Konnor are not going unanswered. God has answered them by making Konnor realize that parents need to do their jobs, even if it isn't always fun. Amen!

God does answer prayer, just not always the way that we expect Him to. I'm glad that He answered yours!
Amen is right! I know I hung around some very bad people in my day and my parents forbid me to after a while. I didn't care I did it anyways until one day things became very clear to me and I realized that I was in the wrong crowd. I am so thankful that I saw the "light" and quit hanging around those people.
