Thankfulness
Thanksgiving is 2 days away. I am thankful for so many things.
- I am thankful for my family. (Although we do not all live very close or keep in touch as often as we should, I love them all individually.)
- I am thankful for my friends. (Whether near or far, my friends are the ones that keep me in check with reality.)
- I am thankful for opportunities. (I will be even more thankful for opportunities, when the right one comes along!)
- I am thankful that the Lord always provides. (Being laid off 2 years ago, and making the decision to go back to school with a family to take care of was not the easiest decision to make, and sometimes very difficult financially. However, the Lord always provides. )
- I am thankful to be an American. (Do you ever watch the news and see what is happening in other countries? All the poverty, famine, and violence happening in the world around us makes me truly thankful to be an American, because we have the right to vote, go to church, speak, walk down the street, etc. Our children are not forced to work or join the military to fight in wars. We are not killed just for having an opinion, I could go on forever about what a priviledge it is to be an American...)
- I am thankful for my home. (It is not the biggest or the fanciest house in the neighborhood, but it is where we live, laugh, and love. It keeps us safe and warm. We are raising our son in our home, and when he grows up and leaves to live his life, we hope he will always think of our home as a place he wants to visit, and as a place where he grew up and where we were a family.)
