Our Life & Times

Well, I guess I got what I deserved for making fun of Brian's little mishap at Sonic's last week. We took our camper to Colorado Springs this weekend and Friday night when we were getting the camper all settled in I decided to go ahead and put our slide out out, BUT I forgot to check if any of the kitchen cabinets came open during our trip and you guessed it! As the slide out was moving outward I start hearing popping and snapping sounds. I stopped it for a minute thinking we were too close to a tree or something outside so I went out to check. Everything looked good so I went back in and figured the coast was clear to start moving it again until... POP, SNAP, CRACK!!!! Brian came flying inside and that's when we realized that a cabinet was open and the exterior window frame on the slide out got caught on the cabinet, ripped the cabinet off its hinges and bent the middle of the frame clear off the window! I would say it will probably top the expense we had to pay for Brian's mirror to get it all fixed. Oops! However, we made the most of it and still had a good little weekend get-away before school starts for Konnor on Wednesday. (He is a BIG 5th grader this year! ) We went shopping in Old Colorado City, went out to eat for lunch, and then we took Konnor to see Talladega Nights the ballad of Ricky Bobby. It was a cute movie.
