Our Life & Times

Ho hum... I wanted to blog tonight, but can't think of a darn thing to say. I have had zero energy lately. Konnor is away at camp and I want to get his room clean, the rest of the house clean, dogs bathed, etc, but I don't feel like it. I had an ultrasound done last Friday for my sluggish thyroid that I thought I found a cyst or something on. I have to wait until Thursday when my doctor is back in the office to get the results. Then, Brian (who has suffered with acid reflux for years now) had to go to the doctor today because his medicine isn't working anymore and his stomach hurts all the time. It could be ulcers, it could be an infection, it could be a hernia, it could be cancer. (Or at least that's how the doctor put it to him.) He had some bloodwork done today to rule out an infection and if it isn't an infection then he has to have an upper GI series done to rule out other things. This family is falling apart, medically. Konnor was in the ER Friday night too, with yet another middle ear infection! He has already had 2 sets of tubes placed in his ears. He even had a preforated eardrum from all the scar tissue and infections. For a while he had some temporary hearing loss, but that has since been restored, but it makes me worry that he has another infection. Send some prayers our way, please!
