Long Week
Updates:
The pastor nominating committee at our church interviewed a pastor "hopeful" that came all the way from Kentucky last week just for the interview. He is an Army chaplain right now at Fort Campbell, KY and is getting out of the Army and is looking for a permanent ministry. He and his wife are a younger couple with 2 small children and one on the way. His wife is also a nurse. It would be nice to have a younger man leading our church, but as to whether or not he is the right fit for us, only God knows.
My immediate supervisor at the doctor's office announced yesterday that he has accepted an office manager position at the Urgent Care clinic and will be leaving the middle of next week. That means I will have a new immediate supervisor (don't know who yet), but I hope it will be Cathy. The funny thing is I used to be Cathy's supervisor when we worked together in Longmont and now she could be mine. How the tables have turned!
Brian's company passed out bonuses yesterday. He was pleased with the outcome. We also are pleased with the outcome of our tax returns this year. Many Happy Returns to You, as well!!!
Last, but not least, Konnor had a pretty good week at school. I received a phone call from him (I think it was Monday or Tuesday) that he had gotten soaked during recess from head to toe and needed some dry clothes. Of course, he left this call on our answering machine at home. It was 3 hours later when I finally heard the message. I called the school and they said one of the volunteers had gone home and gotten Konnor some of her son's clothes to wear. Boys! No matter what you do, you can't keep them clean!
