Our Life & Times

Thank God for backyard swimming pools, because this weekend we are sizzling out west! Last night I took Konnor to our VBS pool party from 6-8 pm and it was still so warm outside we came home and swam in our pool until 10! This afternoon we took the boys to a car show at my college and we cooked! Afterwards, Sonics Drive-thru was calling our names OUT LOUD for some cold drinks! We have been hanging out in our cool central A/C the rest of this afternoon (Thank God for that too, because up until this year we only had a swamp cooler) and after dinner, when the sun goes down just a bit, we will spend this evening in our pool, too! Oh yeah, did I mention that in this heat Konnor managed to run the mile in his track meet this morning? He placed third in his heat, with an amazing time of 6 minutes 39 seconds! WAY TO GO! (I would have been so passed out during the first lap!!!)
